Day 21
Delhi- Jaipur
Total Distance covered-270km

The lazy morning started with a cup of coffee at 10.I was thinking to leave for Jaipur earlier by 12.But I was feeling sleepy and I started at about 3pm after having dinner and short nap.Getting out of Delhi was not of great trouble because of the superb road till Gurgaon.I was lucky not getting stuck in any jam.It didnt take me long as the road was fantastic further too and I was in Jaipur at 7.30pm.There also getting hotel wasnt an issue as I had already booked one in advance.
Didn’t see anything worth clicking all day.

Day 22
Jaipur Local sight seeing

I was all alone since Jammu.
In Jaipur,I had one day with me and I had a talk with the hotel guy about the places worth visiting.I planned the day with the info he gave me.
Now I would like to mention that I had reservations from Jaipur to Mumbai by Jaipur-Bandra Superfast for the next day.But the ticket was for 2,me and Chinmay, but he had already left,I was in no mood to load the bike and the boring long journey alone. The Mumbai-Chandigarh bike drama had convinced me well enough that I wont load my bike in train.Better first I got the reservations canceled the same day and had made my mind to drive all alone till Pune via Mumbai.

The Jaipur City Palace to begin with…..

Also saw the Hawa Mahal, but got off quickly as I didn’t see much of interest.
Jaigarh was the next.I saw the Jal Mahal on way and wanted to be there at eve as evening is the best time to take shots of water bodies.

The road climbing to Jaigarh was recently tarred and was looking awesome. In between I heard some birds.Oh yeah, they were none but peacocks.I just parked the bike and sat beside a small water tank beside the road.Nothing for 5 mins, but then I saw a peacock walking towards me.And it was 2nd…3rd.10 minutes later,I was having more than 10 peacocks hovering around me within 10 meters.

I am never a fool to miss such an opportunity

The above pic shows a loo.I was just wondering how did they do it???Is it for 2 people?????The guide also had no answer to my question….Anybody here has it???
Anyways,in Amber, the next destination was the Nahar Gad.Quiet place with few visitors, nothing to see much. But the view you get of the entire Jaipur city is just mesmerizing.I wish I could visit Nahar Gad at night.

The palace in there was under construction with most of the area restricted to enter, still, got some nooks and corners to click.I heard that the Rang De Basanti wala spot is here. The one in starting of the film,Amir and Sherman drinking beer and jumping off in water. The spot looks the same, but still I have doubt about the place.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

So…it was eve and my timing was perfect to reach Jal Mahal….I skipped the Amber Palace as I saw from Jaigarh, hoard of people, and I hate such places. The beauty of the palace is indeed noticeable.Other reason,I was short of time

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Indeed Jaipur city deserves its name,The Pink City,a very distinct and beautiful architecture. The most important, this treasure is still maintained since centuries in this place and even today,we can see every building being built in the same style,in the core city atleast, with the color….PINK…on every wall…..
