Patnitop….Delhi….Agra

DAY 18
Patnitop-Delhi
Total Distance covered-820approx

The next day it was afternoon when we started from the hotel after having some light food. This was the last pic i had with Amish while I was leaving further from Jammu…

I tanked up at Jammu and started off alone at something past 3pm.

I thought I would halt somewhere at Jalandhar or Ludhiana. But I was in no mood to stop.Except some tea and one dinner stop,I drove n drove like a horse, untill I reached Delhi in the morning at 4am or so.

It was then I realized that I was driving since last afternoon and I had topped more than 800km on the meter…This is one of my longest run I have ever had till now….

I had reservations in Delhi at a guest house with my dad’s reference, but I reached at 4am I had no intention to wake up the caretaker there whom I had not even informed that I’ll be there so early.
So the best timepass I always do in every new city…JUST ROAM AROUND

Let the road take you where it wants you to go.I had been to Delhi before but remembering the roads after the metro construction was very difficult for me.The look of the city has changed after the metro came in Delhi.I could hardly recognize anything.I had a chai on some tapri at some place, meanwhile the dusk arrived and I rode to Tilak Marg….

DAY 19
Delhi
Total Rest

It was almost 6.20am when I reached the guest house and woke up the man there. It was damn hot and I had no option other than standing under a cold shower.I was just wondering,3-4 days ago,I was at a place with temp going in some ‘-‘,and now it was well above 40.I just dug myself into bed and switched the ac on full…and dozzed off till 5 in eve.

DAY 20
Delhi-Agra-Delhi
By train

The rush at Nizamuddin was real overwhelming to greet me good morning….Oh moron!!!Every line for the general ticket counter had atleast 50 people waiting.I inquired for reservation, but it was just late as current reservation can be done before 20mins of departure.
So I stood for 20mins to get the ticket, went to the train and I was at the door when the train roared off.The train was so crowded that I just managed to sit down at the door, and yeah I love that seat.I usually do that on Mum-Pune train because there is so much to see around and its fun when the train goes through several tunnels on the route

But as soon as the train left the station, the first thing I had to do is take out the hanky and place it on my nose.Errrrrr…I could see a trail of modern apes on to morning duty all around the PATRI…and I was
just gazing when would this trail end which lasted along the rails untill the train left Delhi city.
It was then I could get some real fresh morning air.

Reached Agra at 10am and as soon as I stepped out of the train,a hoard of rickshawalas gathered around me.I went to the prepaid stand out there and after a long thinking process, finally hired an auto for 300bucks if i am not wrong. Now this is good system by the government,a single auto would take you around all the places in the city for the entire day.

First it was Taj…..Some Classics to start with,as per the rules

Meanwhile, met a tiny chipmunk posing specially for me…

The auto guy told me that he can book the return tickets and I preferred going by bus.He called the buswala he knew and booked one for me by a bus @5.30eve.After which he took me for lunch and then to the Red fort.

Later did some shopping,Agre ka Petha,a saree for mom and the auto wala dropped me at the bus stop.
The man booked a ticket for me in a AC travels where he seated me on the last row with already 5 people sitting, rest the whole bus was full. Before I could realize that the last row had 5 seats we were 6 people adjusting there, the bus drove off. Also the AC was puffing no shit outto’ it.I called the cleaner and explained him the situation, but the cabin was full either and he asked us to manage. There was a bangali just married couple beside me and its real trouble anywhere with ladies around as usual.

The queen beside me was real uncomfortable and I could feel it.The king then started grunting. I again called the guy and literally basked at him for his mis-management.But he said there was nothing in his hand, neither he could refund me.Later the bus was going to Vrindavan and it would wait an hour or more thereNo chance for me to do that.So I finally decided to leave the bus,and the guy dropped me at the Vrindavan junction.

It was late eve and I thought I’ll get a bus easily,so I walked further for about 3-4kms.But I could see nothing further. So I again walked backed some 5km where I got an old cycle-rickshawala who offered me to drop at bus stop at just 5 bucks. He was so old and I felt real bad for him to do that job.I gave him 20bucks but he refused to take, still,I said thanks to him kindly and he accepted it.The man pointed a bus on the opposite side and I ran in to grab a seat.As usual,I took the seat beside the driver in cabin,Its fun there.

This will be one of my memorable journeys……
The bus was a state transport bus of UP.The driver was driving at a crawling max speed of 50kmhr.It was about 8pm,I asked him at what time we’ll reach Delhi,he said before 11.Crap!!!!!!! Every minute I was just thinking ,the driver should get a kick and he should drive atleast 60.But he seemed too satisfactory with 40 like he’s driving a ferrari at 200mph

At 9,he called off for a dinner break and I realized it was impossible for me to reach Delhi sooner.
The bus started and I was feeling like I should myself kick the driver out of the window and drive the bus.Meanwhile he was enjoying his gutkha all the time and some bhojpuri music playing loud in his china mobile

It was about 11.45pm when I reached Delhi, took my bike from Nizamuddin Station and rode back….

Wonderful day turned Creepy later 😦
